Tigrillo E' Monte

The "Tigrillo," also known as the oncilla or little spotted cat, is a small feline native to Central and South America. During the COVID pandemic, I was inspired to create a brand that encapsulated the tigrillo's astute and sly characteristics. The tagline "Roaring is a way of life" embodies the spirit of the brand—highlighting that while the tigrillo may not roar audibly, it exudes boldness through its actions. The name art in the backside of the T-shirt on this first batch plays on the whimsical Spanish rhyme "Sana, sana, colita de rana, si no sana hoy, sanará mañana," which translates to "Heal, heal, little frog's tail, if it doesn’t heal today, it will heal tomorrow." This saying is typically used to comfort someone after a minor injury, suggesting that healing is just a matter of time, much like the resilience and persistence embodied in the brand's philosophy.
